PageCap - Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and data when you use the PageCap browser extension.

By using our services (collectively referred to as “Services”), you consent to the processing of data as described in this policy. We may update this Privacy Policy periodically by posting a revised version online, and your continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Personal Information

Our extension does not collect any personal information, such as your name, email address, or any other identifiable details. It also does not track or record your keystrokes, browsing history, or any data unrelated to the extension’s explicit functionality.

We do not access Google APIs to retrieve personal information. Additionally, when you install PageCap on a personal browser account, we do not receive any information regarding the installation.

Since we do not collect personal information, there is no data to share with third parties.

Data Storage & Processing

The extension handles all screenshot capturing, image styling, and canvas annotations strictly on your local machine. It stores user settings (such as light/dark mode preferences, custom frame styles, and saved presets) and your local editor undo/redo history locally using your browser’s isolated storage. All data remains completely offline and is never transmitted to any external servers.

Cookies

PageCap does not use cookies to track your activity or identify your browser. Any UI preferences are handled strictly through local web storage APIs.

Analytics Data

Unlike standard tools, PageCap does not include third-party tracking scripts (such as Google Analytics). We do not collect behavioral data, user interactions, or feature popularity metrics. Your usage of the extension remains entirely private to you.

Our extension does not include external links or third-party advertisements within its core capture and editing interface, except for standard developer links pointing to the project’s official repository documentation.

Security Measures

We implement appropriate security measures within the extension’s architecture to safeguard data. Because all application processes—including image cropping, blurring, and stitching—run locally within your browser’s sandbox environment, your captured data is naturally protected from unauthorized external network access, interception, or disclosure.
